JUDDD Down Day (Goal 500cals)
Weight - 242.8lbs (with bandages)
Mood - 8
Pain - 5
Exercise - No
I have great news. I don't have to wear the bandages anymore unless at night. That is...if the swelling stays down. The therapist thinks part of the problem might have been an underlying infection. I've lost a lot of swelling in my arm! I feel very free.
I still have to go to physical therapy 2 days a week for the next few weeks. And have to check in on Thursday with the new sleeve.
The bad news is I have to wear the stupid/ugly lymphedema compression sleeve and glove every day for the rest of my born days. Seriously. No escape. But after the bandages, the sleeve doesn't feel that bad. I actually made dinner tonight without it taking eleventy bazillion hours to get things done. And I can two-handed type again!
So I made it through today without as much hunger. I hope I can make it through the night to complete my Down Day. My hunger has been crazy huge. I've been waking at night and having a 2am snack. Luckily it's been protein based snacks. That pushes me over my protein limits. It's highly unusual for me to eat during the night.
I'm over on calories by almost 262 cals. But that's ok. I'll take it. Sooner or later, I will make my cals on Down Days and "stick it" without doing some weird psycho binge stuff. It just takes me awhile to get blood sugar back into behavior after eating out of my low carb environment for so long during surgery and recovery. I just hate the roller coaster of it all and the feelings of helplessness that well up.
Had a great dinner, even if it was late getting on the table. Had a business call this evening that ran late. I'll post a pic of dinner tomorrow.
